Some dishes are so simple, look so simple yet have so much flavor. Making recipes with good simple ingredients produces a great result. And who doesn’t like noodles.
Jump to RecipeThough noodles are so prevalent in so many cultures, I believe most people think that the noodle, pasta was invented in Italy. Not so. Based on the modest research I completed, while some believe the noodle was developed in the Middle East, NOODLES were created in China some 4000 years BC. If those noodles are still in your pantry, it is time to throw them away.
As noted above, noodles can be found in most cultures. I have made many recipes from different cultures including some using faux noodles. Some samples include:
ASIAN SALMON WITH RICE NOODLES
GLUTEN FREE MEXICAN SAUSAGE PASTA
The recipe comes together so easily. All the sauce ingredients are mixed together. The cabbage is wilted. The noodles are cooked. Then, everything is assembled. It does not get much easier than this, and yet, there is so much flavor. Thanks to my Asian grocery stores. If you have not looked for ethnic grocery stores, it is so much fun. It opens up a whole new world to recipes.
