Given the renewed interest in the post made 7 years ago, I have added some more recipes that I have made in the last few years to supplement the original recipes seen below.

As you know, I love Mediterranean food.  It has so much flavor and the area is so rich with different ingredients that make for such good recipes.  When one thinks of Mediterranean, the dishes vary whether you are in the North or the South of the region.  No matter where you are in the region, it is all good.  I present the unique flavors of the region in this rendition of the Friday Five – Mediterranean addition.

Our first offering is an appetizer called Mediterranean Baked Feta with Tomatoes created by My So Cal’d Life.

One dish that I see, and always say to myself, is I have to try and make this dish is Shakshuka.  This egg in tomato dish was created by Katherine Martinelli.

Giving you an idea that could be served as an appetizer or a main course, these Saucy Greek Meatballs from The Kitchen Alchemist look divine.

I seemingly can’t get away from appetizers.  I love appetizers.  I think it is because they are usually small and you can try more different things.  This Mediterranean Crescent Ring was developed by my friend Erica at Erica’s Recipes.

Cabbage Rolls are a very traditional dish in the Mediterranean.  These Mediterranean Cabbage Rolls were created by Culinary Adventures in the Kitchen.

My family loves falafel.  This Falafel on Tabouleh was developed by Closet Cooking.

Showing you can adapt so many foods to the style of cooking you enjoy, these Mediterranean Salmon Burgers by My Modern Cookery prove the point.

Our last recipe for this post is from my food blogger friend Nagi.  This is Syrian Chicken with Giant Couscous from RecipeTin Eats.
