The Friday Five – lunch

Well, I am putting a little different spin on my Friday Five.  This may not be a complete meal for entertaining this weekend but it could be.  Lunch, in my opinion, is the most under appreciated of all meals.  It is the hardest meal to make look special and also the one meal that people don’t want to over do in terms of quantity.

We are going to begin our lunch with some Vegetarian Chili from The Slow Roasted Italian.  Just serve a smaller portion since this is the beginning of the meal.

This may be lunch but it might as well be a brunch.  And if you are going to drink this early, then it has to be a Bloody Mary.  Try this Bloody Mary from Picture-Perfect Meals.

If you have stopped by my blog before, then you will know I love a grilled sandwich (a panini) and there is nothing better, richer, than mixing brie in your sandwich.   Try this Turkey, Brie & Cranberry Panini from Confections of a Foodie Bride.

Here is where I am pushing my concept a little but I want a somewhat light side but it may not actually go with the sandwich.  Rather, it does not go with the sandwich but I want to round out the meal and show a pretty unique side.  A Rainbow Hash with sweet potatoes and beets from Gen Foodie.

No meal, and I mean no meal, is complete without something sweet.  Otherwise, known as dessert.  How about some Pumpkin Cupcakes with Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting from Tracey’s Culinary Adventures.

I hope you are now full and have plenty of ideas for this weekend.  Bon appetit!
