I know I have commented on this before but sandwich making takes a lot of creativity and knowledge of ingredients that go well together.  The problem I now have is that how do I make the sandwich different enough for my kids to say this is something special.

In this case, I used a good bread roll I had but tried muenster cheese.  This is a milder cheese than I normally use.  I paired it with some salami and some jalapeno mustard to give the sandwich some zing.

Recipe
Roast Beef Muenster Cheese Panini:
Ingredients;

  • 1 french roll
  • 3 slices of roast beef
  • 3 slices of hard salami
  • 1 1/2 slices of muenster cheese
  • 1 small bunch of arugula
  • 2 tbsp jalapeno mustard
Directions:
Cut the roll and generously spread the mustard on each half.  Start compiling the sandwich with the roast beef, salami and finish with the cheese.  Using a George Forman grill, place the sandwich on the grill.  I always add a weight on top to flatten the sandwich even more.  The sandwich was grilled for  4 – 5 minutes.  Muenster cheese takes longer to melt.  Remove the sandwich from the grill and add the arugula.  Enjoy!

    Sounds delicious, I love making sandwiches cause you can always make something new and different! I love the use of the jalapeno mustard, I’ve never tried that before. Thanks for sharing!

    Sincerely,
