Going with a totally different concept for this week’s post on the Friday Five – all appetizers and desserts. Â Who doesn’t like that and if you served a beer, I think you would take care of your man – just need to put him in his man cave.
Let’s begin this comfort food adventure with a Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Croutons from Tide & Thyme.
Now we need a little something we can bite into before we dip into our drink. Â Since we are still in the beginning of our appetizers, why don’t we try a Mushroom & Spinach Tartlets from Eclectic Recipes
                           Â
I don’t know about you but we need to wash these appetizers down with something. Â In my house, appetizers have never been served without some libations. Â Since we are not following conventions today, how about Italian Cream Sodas from Butter, with a Side of Bread (now one could certainly spike this – don’t mind if I do)
                                                 Â
Most men would not be satisfied without some meat. Â Well, I am busy in the kitchen making meatballs for my son’s swim team dinner tomorrow night. Â So I guess I have meatballs on the brain, and therefore, how about some Italian Meatballs from Citron Limette
                  Â
I guessing you are pretty full but you can manage some dessert.  Never stopped anyone in my family.  How about yours?  This has not been a fancy meal, so let’s try these Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Cupcakes from Around the Globe.
                                         Â
If you like this series, please submit your ideas to include in future offerings. Â I appreciate your support and involvement. Â I will create a post using your suggestions.
