This past food week included National Cheesecake Day.  Where or who has the best cheesecake?  In Chicago, the most famous is Eli’s Cheesecake.  For anyone who has ever tried to make cheesecake, you know that it is a very subtle dessert to get just right.  What secrets have you learned to get just the right consistency?

So let’s begin our decadent journey.  Our first presentation is called Dad’s Cheesecake Bars.  The creation of this recipe has nothing to with her father.  This recipe is the creation of Aida Mollenkamp – Pairs well with Food.

Now do you like your cheesecake with fruit?  How about chocolate?  How about both?  I present a Strawberry Cheesecake with Oreo Cookie Crust from Barbara Bakes – Adventures in the Kitchen.

How about a fusion cheesecake?  Marrying an Italian dessert with the classic.  So now for a bad joke.  What do you get when you put together tiramisu with cheesecake?  A Tiramisu Cheesecake. I didn’t say it would be good.  This beautiful marraige was the brainchild of Oh Sweet Day.

And now demonstrating the versatility of the cheesecake and the creativity of bloggers, check out this Mint Chocolate Cheesecake Popsickles from My Baking Addiction found over at Good Life Eats.

Again, showing a really neat spin on the traditional cheesecake, how cool is this Creme Brulee Cheesecake Bars from Handle the Heat.

The next offering is very chocolaty and comes from me in my early blogging days.  This is a Brownie Cheesecake Bar that I created back in 2012.

This final recipe has to be really chocolaty.  I hope you agree?  This is a Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake with Amaretto Cherry Glaze from My Adventures in the Country.

OMG! You drug dealer. What a varied and wonderful and yes decadent roster of cheesecakes. I pinned them all. I am having a small dinner party Sunday night. I am serving cheesecake, but I am sooooo torn as to what to choose. Maybe I will have to make an array. Forget the rest of the dinner and just have a cheesecake buffet.

You might be on to something with that cheesecake buffet. I am sure you would be the talk of the town with that dinner party idea.
