Today’s theme is the most basic. Â That does not mean these recipes have no complexity or creativity. Â Quite the contrary, these recipes are unique and show that breakfast can have sophistication, taste and variety.

I am kind of breaking my rule now by actually throwing in something that does not necessarily go with any thing I offer today. Â But since it is jam, you can save it and use it tomorrow. Â So I present Blueberry Ginger Vanilla Jam from The Tomato Tart.

To complete this breakfast offering, I still have to give us a dessert, well sort of.  Is a donut, a sweet or a breakfast item. I think this recipe will answer the question definitively.  It is both.  A Maple Pumpkin Donut with a Spice Glaze from The Sweet Life.
