This post is developed for my audience to learn a little more about me and learn about 3 other great bloggers out there. I have been blogging now for about 2 years. This journey started as an outlet to simply express my creativity through my food. I did not actually know that I was creative until I started cooking. The cooking actually started just so I could try to eat some different foods. I have come a long way in my cooking but still have a long way to go. I made many mistakes early on but that is the only way to learn. I am far from a gourmet cook. I like to think of myself as a glorified home chef. I am certainly adventuresome and willing to try anything. My kids are at college now and they were generally great guinea pigs. The best thing about the cooking for my kids is it brings them back home. Remember that everyone. A very simple task to execute and it brings everyone together around the kitchen table.
One of the things I truly love about the blogging is how supportive the community is. In my real estate investment world, everyone believes that things work on a zero sum game. In the blogging world, everyone is willing to lend a helping hand to everyone else. This is truly the philosophy that I get back more than I could ever give. It is such a great lesson for life! I have also met so many people I would never have met otherwise and these relationships are only beginning to blossom.
I want to begin by thanking Betsy of Desserts Required for including me in this program. We connected initially connected through our participation with The Daily Meal. Betsy lives in Florida with her family and as here blog title tells you, it is all about dessert. Betsy has also ventured in to making some videos. Be sure to check these out because there are some very good tips she shares.
If you can afford the calories, I would recommend you check out the Mocha Madness Milkshake;Â the Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream; and the last decadent dessert is her Bailey’s Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake.
So now let me introduce you to 3 of my blogging friends. The food is awesome so check out their sites for some delicious recip ideas.
My friend Lisa, known as the Creole Contessa has participated with me in a few joint posts on Cajun Food. Because …. her roots go back to Louisiana and she has many home recipes. Her cooking, however, is far from limited to Cajun food. I think she is inspired to keep her “Big Goo” (her husband) filled and happy. That is a good reason for most of us.
Lisa makes so many amazing things and sometimes we just don’t have to worry about all that is in the food, just simply enjoy. Some of her mouth-watering recipes include Smokey Pimento Cheese Queso Dip with Country White Croutons; Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwich; and Cajun Andouille Ragu.
The next blogger I want to introduce you to is a lovely lady named Brandi who author’s Aunt Bee’s Recipes. I got the opportunity to meet Brandi through one of the many different groups bloggers establish to support one another and to promote each others blogs. We met through a Facebook group known simply as Food bloggers Group. Stop on by and check out all these amazing bloggers and some truly wonderful content. Brandi is a southern girl at heart and her style shows through her food.
Brandi makes so many good things and her photography really lets you taste her food. Check out these great recipes including Chili Con Queso Mezclar;  Better Than Cracker Barrel Hashbrowns; and her Chipotle Pulled Pork with Creamy Cole Slaw.
The last blogger I would like to introduce you to is Simi from Turmeric N Spice. As the name suggests, she comes from the Asian basin – India particularly. Her cooking was influenced by her mom. Again, what is so amazing about this blog experience is that Simi in the Chicago suburbs, as do I. This blogging adventure shows me constantly how small this big world is.   And if I can brag, Simi’s photography is so amazing. She really knows how to capture light helping her food explode with color.
To enable you to see what great recipes Simi creates, I start with her recent post of Triple Berry Popsicles; Drumstick Coconut Curry; and Tomato Fettuccini and Cherry Tomatoes.
I hope you have enjoyed this blog tour.
