I believe the growth of one’s blog is measured by the contributions of others. Â This offering is as the title states. Â A friend of mine, Lindy, learned this craft and has spent a few years learning. Â There is a 4 month process letting the various berries soak and take in the sun. Â The final result is something sweet and pure, and remember, don’t go too hard or you will pay for it.
Recipe (well sort of)
Berry Moonshine:
- Berries of your choice are soaked in grain alcohol for 4 months and placed in the sun
- Then the berries are churned to create the liquid

Hi there. How about linking this in to Food on Friday: Berries? Cheers

We learned this while skiing in the Pila resort (nothern Italy near Mont Blanc) several years ago. One of the bar owners taught us his secret to an amazing concoction of his own. It’s true what you say about those berries. We actually tell people not to eat them. The alcohol is so strong that it will elevate your blood-alcohol level big time. I’m sure had he not been drinking and eating the berries himself, he never would have given us his recipe. 🙂

I have some cherries soaking in bourbon, 2 weeks in. Like this idea of berry moonshine too.
