I am a new convert to Greek yogurt and it started because my wife was buying it for herself.  I like it, but I started really thinking how I could add it to foods I normally make, to make the dish healthier.  I started with a Ranch Salad Dressing.  So I spent some time researching the web to actually understand if it is healthier product than regular yogurt.  As a qucik aside, the Greek yogurt is thicker because it is strained more than regular yogurt which continues to remove the whey.

The below 2 links are articles that highlight the distincitions between the two types of yogurt.  My research showed me that generally, Greek yogurt is a healthier alternative but both yogurts have many positives.

I like greek yogurt much better than regular, for the same reasons you wrote. It´s great for baking also.

Nice tip as usual. I make regular yogurt at home.
