For those of you that have followed my blog for a while, you know Sundays, are sandwich day. Â I love to make sandwiches. Â I love to create. Â I love to make grilled sandwiches above all. Â I made a Faux Velveeta Cheese which is the perfect accompaniment to this sandwich. Â It adds creaminess and saltiness.
The art of the sandwich is the ingredients and then the perfect melt of the cheese. Â I have found two ways to create a great melt. Â The first is to grill the bread, then put the cheese on and put it in the oven. Â The second way is to use a good melting cheese and put a pot cover on top once you flip the sandwich to the second side.
Recipe
Beef Pastrami and Faux Velveeta Cheese:
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of Roast Beef
- 2 pieces of Pastrami
- 1 piece of Roast Chicken
- 2 pieces of cheese
- 1 roll
- Couple of squirts of sweet & spicy mustard
Directions:
Slice open the roll and spread the mustard on the bread. Â Then layer the meat topping it with the cheese. Â For the cooking, I used a griddle like pan and used a burger press to add the weight on the top to make it like a panini. Â Cook on medium high for 2 – 3 minutes per side. Â Enjoy!
