Cajun week is past us now but I have one more recipe,  a Cajun turkey, that I had made but just didn’t make it into the offerings last week.  This is a pretty simple recipe.  As those of us know, the key to a good turkey is how to cook it and keep it moist.  I have heard that many sites and chefs simply recommend a meat thermometer.  That is what I used and the turkey was cooked perfectly.  Turkey needs an internal temperature of 165 degrees.  Do not forget to let it sit for at least 10 – 15 minutes before slicing.

Top down 2 500

Ingredients:

  • 4 lb turkey breast
  • 3 tbsp Seasoning Salt
  • 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning

Directions:

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.  Season the turkey on all sides massaging it in as well.

Cajun Spiced 500

Place the turkey on a broiling pan and fill the tray with water enough to fill the pan by 2″.  The turkey will take approximately 3 hours to cook.  Remember, use the thermometer to confirm the doneness. of the turkey.

After cook 500

Let rest for a good 15 minutes.

Plated 500

45 degree 500 Top down 500

Enjoy!
