The inspiration for this BEYOND MEAT Veggie Burger is my trying a sample one day while shopping at Whole Foods. I think most of us enjoy going through a grocery store and sampling what ever the store has put out to try. I know I do but I try items less and less it seems. I almost walked right by the sample table. What I think made me try it was how ‘MEAT‘ like the patty looked like. It tasted really good so I bought a couple of packages.
Now, it is a rare day when I begin with a prepared food. I am making a really cool veggie burger tonight and I hope it turns out so I can share it with you. I have made a number of veggie burgers with different ingredients at its base – CHICKPEAS & Black Beans. There are, however, days when you do not have a lot of time and want a complete meal. There are also days when you look in your freezer, and realize, that you have had something in there for a little while. It is time to pull it out and use it.
The flavor and texture of this Beyond Meat burger is really good. The burger has a really nice bite to it. I simply pan fried it to get a nice crisp on the burger. I complimented it with very traditional toppings including tomatoes, lettuce and a sriracha aioli. The sriracha aioli added a really nice bit of spice to the burger. Yes that is a gluten free I used.
