The inspiration for this Creamy Curry Ranch Dressing is a love of creamy dressings and a love of Indian spices. In most of my dinners, I try to carry the theme and ingredients through the whole dinner. That is a great tip to hold on to. The meal started with PAN FRIED CURRY PANEER spiced with a couple of different curry powders and other basic curry spices. I did the same thing with this creamy dressing.

Creamy Curry Ranch Dressing
My creamy dressing was creamy but it had no cream in it. As I frequently do, I used fat free plain Greek yogurt. The dressing is super easy to put together. Simply mix the spices in a bowl, and then, add to the Greek yogurt. This dressing is so good because it has so much flavor, yet is light and low in calories.
The other trick, learning, with this recipe was that I grilled the green cabbage on my outdoor grill. I used napa cabbage because it is both light and crunchy. I have seen on some cooking shows people grilling cabbage. I knew I want to try it. Even if this post is about the dressing, the totally repeatable idea here is grilling your cabbage. I grilled the cabbage indoors as well. The grilling adds such a cool flavor to the cabbage. I also really like the grill marks on the napa cabbage.

I’ve never had grilled cabbage but I like the idea for the summer. I am going to try this dressing!
I hope you do try it and try grilling cabbage or romaine.
This would make the perfect complement to all the bbq dishes prepared today for July 4th. It is easy and healthy too.
You are so right.
This looks so good and unique. Never tried this before but I’m going to try. Perfect for backyard BBQ!
You are totally right.
I love cabbage, especially with honey dressings or with caesar salad dressing. I will try the creamy curry for a change.
Give it a try.

Do so and let me know if you do. Thx Ophelia.
My husband bought himself a really cool new grill for Father’s Day and has been cooking up a storm. I know which recipe I’m putting on the top of his pile! In the past we’ve grilled lettuce wedges, but not cabbage. I also love the sound of the curry ranch dressing. Two of my favorite flavors. Thanks (as always) for another great recipe!
So cool. Lucky you and lucky husband. I hope you try this recipe.
I love yogurt based dressing! They are so delicious, light and fresh, perfect for summer!
You are so right.
Cabbage is one of my favorite health foods so this sounds like such an interesting topping! And I would probably put this on other things too, like sandwiches.
I really like your idea.
As a Greek I eat tons of Greek yogurt (though I go for the traditional goat one with full fat since it’s not processed in any way and thus pure) but I’ve never thought of using it over grilled cabbage. I need to try it!
Thx and I appreciate your health conscious approach. I should listen to since I am talking to a Greek. Have a great day.
Grilled cabbage, what an intriguing idea! Love the sound of this dressing!
Thx and do give it a try.
Mmm…your Creamy Curry Ranch Dressing looks so delicious. It’s been a while since I’ve made homemade ranch dressing. Your post has inspired me to whip up a batch this weekend. I’d love to try your recipe!
Go for it. It is really easy.
Hi Peter, hope to see this and any other Pot LUck dishes you would like to share over at Food on Friday: June. Cheers from Carole’s Chatter
Ranch dressing is one of my faves! The curry will give it an interesting new twist.
It was a unique twist.
Glad you like the twist.
I have never grilled Nappa cabbage before. Does it change the texture much or does it only add flavour? I get texture anxiety from softened kale/cabbage.
You don’t want to over grill it. Just enough to get a char. Adds flavor and you do not lose any flavor. Texture anxiety – that is good. Try it. Don’t worry.
It does not change the flavor. It adds to it. No need for texture anxiety.
Ooo yum! I know I’d like this–I love ranch! And I enjoy items with a kick to it.
It has good flavor – not spicy.
I am not a huge fan of cabbage but this looks delicious !! I will have to try it 🙂
