
Begin by combining the dehydrated onions, salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce to the ground beef. Mix well and form into 4 burgers.
Add half of the oil to a cast iron skillet on medium high heat. Add the burgers and cook 4 - 5 minutes per side. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, top with the cheese.
When you add the cheese, add the remaining oil to another skillet. Place the bread slices in the skillet and brown for 2 minutes.
Finish by assembling the patty melt by adding the burger to the bread, topping with onions and the top piece of bread.
