My day in the Kitchen at Gioco

A blogger’s dream.  One of my friend’s owns a wonderful upscale Italian restaurant in downtown Chicago.  His birthday gift to me was spending a day in his kitchen with his head chef (more to come on Gaetano).  The experience was awesome and I got this new pic to use of myself.

I learned some really neat insights into cooking.  Chef Gaetano made a tomato sauce, a bolognese and a basil pesto.  We got to help but the real treat was seeing Chef Gaetano and his team work.  He shared a number of insights with us which will be shared in future posts.

Cooking with a chef is so much fun! Our family does this with the chef at our Golf Course in Aurora, Ontario. Lot’s of fun!
