I mixed this recipe up with Heath and butterscotch.  My daughter has told me during the week that she had  made some blondies at school.  I was not actually sure what goes into them but I hear everyone talk about making them. They are so easy to make and so good.  How can it not be good?  There made up of butter and sugar – what dessert isn’t?

I decided to change these up a little by adding Heath Bar Crunch.  Simply because I had it in my pantry.

Top down group 500

Ingredients Adapted from Cooking.com:

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar, dark or light
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup Heath Bar crunch

Ingred 500

Preparation:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.  Lightly spray an 8″ x 8″ baking pan.  In a standing mixer, mix together the butter and brown sugar.  Next, mix in the egg and vanilla. Set aside.  In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.  Pour in the flour mixture to the wet ingredients in 3 steps.  Mix until completely combined.

Stir in each of the chips – do not overmix.  Pour the batter into the baking pan.
In pan 500
Bake for 17 – 18 or more minutes.  When you stick a toothpick in to the batter, it should come out clean.
After baking 500
Cool completely on wire rack.

Serve and enjoy!

It is a bit embarrassing how easy blondies are to make but the audience loves them.

Hello Peter! I’ve just discovered how wonderful blondies are. I love that amazing caramel flavour they have. I recently posted some on my blog too! I bet these were so lovely with the butterscotch chips in!
