Cajun week is past us now but I have one more recipe, Â a Cajun turkey, that I had made but just didn’t make it into the offerings last week. Â This is a pretty simple recipe. Â As those of us know, the key to a good turkey is how to cook it and keep it moist. Â I have heard that many sites and chefs simply recommend a meat thermometer. Â That is what I used and the turkey was cooked perfectly. Â Turkey needs an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Â Do not forget to let it sit for at least 10 – 15 minutes before slicing.
Ingredients:
- 4 lb turkey breast
- 3 tbsp Seasoning Salt
- 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning
Directions:
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Â Season the turkey on all sides massaging it in as well.
Place the turkey on a broiling pan and fill the tray with water enough to fill the pan by 2″.  The turkey will take approximately 3 hours to cook.  Remember, use the thermometer to confirm the doneness. of the turkey.
Let rest for a good 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
