Shortbread Thumb Print Cookies
A little spin on the traditional thumb print cookie making it a shortbread cookie and adding a candy bar center

Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter room temperature
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Reese's and Twix bars cut to an inch in size
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line cookie sheets with silicone baking mats
- In a stand mixer, mix butter until creamy.
- Gradually add sugar; beating until light and fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour to mixture in 2 - 3 steps, mixing well after each addition.
- Roll dough into 1- 2 inch balls.
- Place each ball on the prepared baking sheets (not too close).
- Use your thumb to make a small indentation into center of each cookie ball.
- Add the cut candy bars to the center and bake for 10 - 12 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
