Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high heat. Add the oil and warm until simmering.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients. Liberally apply to flesh side of salmon. Add the salmon flesh side down to the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes.
Flip to the skin side and move to a 325 degree oven for 12 minutes. Let rest for 1 - 2 minutes.
