Ingredients

Wings

  • 24 Whole Chicken wings - drumettes and wingette separated
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Chinese five spice
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tsp Olive oil spray

Sauce

  • 1/3 Cup Honey
  • 1/3 Cup Light soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Tsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

Wings

  1. Pre-heat the air fryer to 350 degrees.

Begin by patting dry the wings really well. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl combine the spices and mix well. Pour the wings in the bowl and coat well. Lightly spray the wings on one side with the olive oil spray. Put the wings on the tray of the air fryer with the oil side face up. Cook for 10 minutes. Remove the wings and spray the other side lightly with the oil.

Increase the heat to 375 degrees and return the wings to the air fryer for another 10 minutes.

While doing the second fry, combine all the sauce ingredients in a skillet and cook on medium high heat until somewhat thick. Take the completed wings and toss them into the sauce and coat for 1 - 2 minutes. Remove the wings and reduce the sauce for another couple minutes until thick. Drizzle a little of the sauce on the wings for serving and serve on the side for anyone who wants extra. Enjoy!
