We are taking our youngest son on some college visits.  You know what that means.  Exploring some local culture through food.  The rule is it has to be local and it has to have a college atmosphere to make this blog.  The first entry is just off the Purdue University campus.  Von’s Dough Shack is making calzones but the make them way less doughy than the typical Italian variety.  They also use totally college type ingredients.

This “calzone” was filled with hamburger pieces, american cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos.
