Saturday begins my Cajun week of posts that I am bringing to you with my friend the Creole Contessa.  So to get you all warmed up, I am bringing totally Cajun recipes from my fellow bloggers.  I am not promising that there is balance to this meal, just classic recipes.  I think Cajun is not appreciated because most people have not tried it.  Hopefully, these pictures and recipes will open your mind to the amazing dishes from the Bayou.

Let’s start with a Shrimp Etouffee (Etouffee is my favorite of all) from Closet Cooking (Check him out, he does amazing stuff).

Shrimp Etouffee

Let’s follow this Etouffee up with Cajun Shrimp & Grits from Not From Concentrate.

How about this spin on a classic – Cajun Shrimp Mac ‘N Cheese from the Brown Eyed Baker.

Cajun Shrimp Macaroni and Cheese

I seem to have a lot of Shrimp going so let’s keep it rolling.  Crispy Cajun Shrimp Fettuccini from Jo Cooks.

The final offering is Chicken Sausage & Shrimp Dirty Rice from Inspiring the Everyday.
