Asian Beef & Asparagus

  • 1 1/2 Lbs Beef Cut 1" wide strips
  • 10 Stalks Asparagus cut in 2" pieces
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable oil


  • 2 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 Inches ginger grated
  • 2 Tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Corn starch


Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a wok over medium heat. Meanwhile, combine the sauce ingredients and set aside. Also add the corn starch and 1 tbsp of water in a small cup. Set aside and do not mix. Add the steak pieces with salt and pepper to the wok in a one layer. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Add the asparagus and cook for 3 - 4 more minutes or until softened. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and asparagus; cook for 30 seconds. Mix, and then, add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute to thicken the sauce. Serve with rice and enjoy!
