This was an accoutrement to a wonderful ground chicken burger I was making. Â This post will appear subsequent to this post. Â Pico De Gallo is really is easy to make, looks beautiful and would compliment a lot of different dishes.
My plan was to make the burger a little spicy so I modified this recipe and used only one jalapeno so it would not be to spicy.
Recipe
Pico De Gallo:
- In your skillet, grill 4 slices of a vidalia onion and 1 jalapeno; cook for about 4 minutes per side on medium heat getting a nice char; remove from heat and let cool
- Separately, chop 1 red and yellow tomato, slice 2 green onions, add the juice of half a lime
- Seed the jalapeno and dice as well as the onions; add to tomato mixture and salt and pepper to taste.
