Putting a Mexican twist on the American classic.  Mix the ground beef with pablanos, jalapenos and some Tabasco.  Toast the buns and top with an avocado mayo.

Recipe
Poblano Burger:

  1. Mix into 1 & 1/2 lbs of ground beef, 1/4 of a diced poblano pepper, 1/2 of a jalapeno pepper, 1/4 cup of bread crumbs and 8 drops of Tabasco sauce and mix well
  2. Heat an outside grill to medium hot and place the hand formed burger on to the grill
  3. While grilling, take 1/4 cup of mayonnaise and mix in 1 ripe avocado.  Combine using a masher so the mixture is a little chunky.  Finish with another 6 drops of Tabasco
  4. After flipping the burgers (about 6 minutes per side), top with 3 slices of mozzarella and 1/8 cup of shredded Mexican 4 cheese mix in the final 2 minutes of cooking
  5. Dress the sandwich by spreading the avocado mayo on the toasted bun and top the sandwich with 2 slices of roma tomatoes and 1/2 piece of romaine lettuce

Pete, This looks and sounds amazing. Burgers are one of my favorite foods in addition to anything spicy. This should be perfect.

Thank you for sharing your food with us. Love the blog.
