There are some recipes that are so easy it is almost embarrassing to post. This is definitely one of those recipes. With that said, these are so good and are really versatile to serve with so many different dips for an appetizer. I will be using this recipe often. Now, I always think of Sandra Lee’s Semi-Homemade when I make something simple and start with already prepared ingredient. In this case, I bought pita rounds instead of making from scratch. I have made pita before and it is not all that hard. So this recipe certainly can be done from scratch if you prefer.
Ingredients:
- 10 pita rounds
- 3 tbsp. olive oil (estimated)
- Kosher Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Cut your pita rounds into 8 triangles, just like you would do if this was a pizza. Place on a baking sheet and drizzle with the olive oil. Get your hands dirty by turning them over to make sure that each side of the pita is coated with the oil.
Then, add the salt and pepper and do the same thing again to make sure all the chips get covered with the salt and pepper. Place in a 325 degree oven for 12 – 15 minutes. You want the chips to getting pretty crisp in the oven. Remove from oven and eat right away or save for later. Enjoy!

We have stormy weather here today in Chicago. Maybe I should go back home and start cooking?
