Italian Jumbo Meatballs

The theme for this weekend’s dinner was Italian.  The only challenge, as you have learned for my family, is that I have some meat lovers and some that favor the more vegetarian options.  How to satisfy everyone?  What would you try to satisfy all of your guests?

Solution: Meatballs and Marinara sauce.  By creating each of these, my guests could choose to have one, the other or both.  Is that the way you say it?  Where did that phrase come from?  I looked it up.  I am not even sure it is a phrase.  Somebody help me.  I know it is an idiom.  What’s an idiom?

Ingredients:

4 lbs ground Chuck

1 lb ground veal
4 egg
1 cup milk
2 cup breadcrumbs
2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoon oregano
4 tablespoon fresh parsley
2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl by hand.  Use your bare hands for best results.  Roll meatballs to about the size of your palms.  Place raw meatballs on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.  Place the meatballs in your Marinara sauce (You can separate out some of the sauce for the vegetarians).  Simmer for at least 2 hours.  Enjoy!
