Healthy Fruits – Tuesday Tip

The only way that I am going to eat healthier is to take the time to really learn about the health benefits of foods.  I have started a few posts for the 40 – 50 year olds attempting to address common concerns and objectives.  This post is transcendant of age and relevant to all of us.  To be clear, the objective of this post is not to just educate you and me on what are the benefits of certain fruits, but a lead into how to incorporate them into our diets and into our recipes.  Being healthy does not mean losing taste.  We, I, simply need to understand more so I can design recipes and menus that are both taste satisfying and body thoughtful.

Who doesn’t want that combination?

There are so many benefits but an excerpt grabbed from the Harvard article referenced above:  “the health benefits of a diet rich in vegetables and fruits: Lower blood pressure; reduced risk of heart disease, stroke, and probably some cancers; lower risk of eye and digestive problems; and a mellowing effect on blood sugar that can help keep appetite in check.”
