Well the year is almost over and it has been an amazing year.  I am so blessed with my family and all they have accomplished and with our health.  I appreciate, or try to, all that I have and how lucky I am to have the family I have.  I am so appreciative of this blog and how far I have come and how thankful, I am to you, my readers for making this journey all possible.

These Friday Five’s are my chance to show all of us the amazing recipes being created by fellow food bloggers and preparing each of us for our entertaining the upcoming weekend. So naturally, this post is designed to get us ready for New Year’s eve or day.  I present to you the final Friday Five of the year – Friday Five – New Year’s addition.  If you think like we do for this holiday, the menu is all finger foods.  No sit down dinner – Sitting around the kitchen center island.

It seems only right that I begin this Friday Five – New Year’s addition with some drinks.  The first cute idea is Champagne Jello Shots (maybe this is for the College generation) created by Erica’s Sweet Tooth.

Our next drink, you might say, packs a punch.  It is a Raspberry Lemonade Champagne Smash developed by Willow Bird Baking.

After these alcoholic ideas, we definitely need to put something in our stomach’s.  I am a big mushroom fan and these Stuffed Mushrooms are presented by Lendryggen.

Cheese is a natural but no one said it needs to be traditional.  This appetizer is a Honeyed Warm Feta with Dates from The Wimpy Vegetarian.

The next idea roots are in the South.  It is Angel Flake Biscuits with Salty Ham from Garlic & Zest.

The classic Pigs in a Blanket have been dress up by The Tough Cookie.

Now, let’s begin with the treats.  I think this next idea is a must for any party.  It is an Edible New Year’s Horn from Hungry Happenings.

Our final idea for this Friday Five – New Year’s addition is a Wonderful Cake with White Truffle created by Sandra Bakes A Party.
