I have been starting to think SuperBowl.  As such, last week was my Friday Five – Hamburger addition. This week I bring you the Friday Five – Hot Dog addition.  I don’t believe there is anything more American than the hot dog.  So let’s see what great recipes and ideas fellow food bloggers have created.

Our first idea comes from my friend Chanie of Busy in Brooklyn.  How cool are these Hot Dog Egg Rolls?

Showing a spin on the above idea is this Tortilla Hot Dog Wraps created by  BS’ In The Kitchen.

Now this next idea is right up my alley – actually they all are – but you cannot go wrong with Mac ‘N Cheese.  How do you like this Mac and Cheese with Hot Dogs from Cully’s Kitchen.

I came across this most basic picture but thought it looked totally awesome.  Savoring Time in the Kitchen shared the idea to Crosshatch Hot Dogs.  So simple but the look so good.

Now I normally do not go for turkey dogs.  If I am going to have a hot dog, you gotta go beef.  But these Oven Baked Turkey Chili Dogs created by Cooking with my Kid look amazing.

Our final offering for this Friday Five – Hot Dog addition is an ode to my Father-in-Law and his Detroit roots.  This Detroit-Style Coney Island Hot Dogs was developed by From Away.  For those of you from the Detroit area and those from other places, there is what is known as Detroit Style and Flint style hot dogs.  Detroit means wet and Flint means dry.
