Continuing with the summer theme, let’s look into the versatility of fruit. I know we, generally, think of fruit for dessert but it is used in so many ways.
To start, we need a drink. Mangoes and Palm Trees made what she called an Islangria.
Staying with the drink them but this time without alcohol, I offer up the Pineapple, Mint and Banana Smoothie from Marin Mamma Cooks.
We do think of fruit for breakfast. This Baked Oatmeal with Fruit and Yogurt from Heat Oven to 350 shows how fruit can be a really good accent.
Another traditional breakfast idea is Blueberry Muffins from Chocolate Therapy.
Here is another smoothie idea – Berrylicious smoothie from Little Food Junction.
How about a fruit snack? Look at these really cool Mango Fruit Roll Ups from Just a Taste.
Moving to a dinner starter, this Mango Crostin with Whipped Feta and Honey Balsamic from the Scrumptious Pumpkin.
Here is a good use of fruit in a salad. An Avocado Fruit Salad from Feed Your Soul Too (me)
It is time for dessert. I begin with a White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake from Yammie’s Noshery.
How about this colorful Mango Sorbet from Thyme.
The final idea is a Mango Margarita Boozesicles from Nutmeg Nanny.
Hi Paul! Thanks for featuring my pineapple, mint and banana smoothie. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I love all the summer drinks you compiled. My son would love Kelly’s mango fruit roll up so I have to check that out! Have a great Sunday! xoxo, Jackie
