It is summer and we should be outside. This weekend, my wife and I get the chance to visit friends who have a small lake house in Lake Geneva. If you are from the midwest, then you are familiar with Lake Geneva. I guess it is the Midwesterners version of Cape Cod – probably not so fancy but very nice. So what am I going to do to show my appreciation? Why you guessed it – cook. So what should it be. One of the ideas I am exploring is burgers. And the objective of my Friday Five is to give you and me ideas for the weekend. So I found these awesome recipes as I search for ideas for my weekend. So today I present Friday Five – Burger addition.
Now I love Kentucky Hot Browns. Many people do not know what this concept is but it is a concoction that originated in Kentucky and my friend Paula has adapted it to a burger. We begin this round up with Call Me PMC’s Kentucky Hot Brown Burger.
My next presentation moves a fair bit further South. South of the border for this Salsa Burger created by Mom On Time Out.
Why don’t we head just a little north to sample these Tex-Mex Bacon Cheeseburgers developed by Taste and Tell.
As long as I am using this direction thing, we have crossed the pond to Greece. This Gyro Burger with Tzatziki and topped with Fries by Cooking for Keeps has my name all over it.
Now this is a cool fusion – a Pizza Burger from An Edible Mosaic.
And our final offering is from a familiar face – me. This is a Vietnamese twist – a Chicken Bahn Mi Burger from Feed Your Soul Too.
Enjoy!
I’ll take one of each Peter! Great lineup as always. I need a burger this weekend, now to decide which one.
This is awesome! Thanks for including my Hot Brown Burger…now I’m craving burgers!!
