Today’s theme is the most basic.  That does not mean these recipes have no complexity or creativity.  Quite the contrary, these recipes are unique and show that breakfast can have sophistication, taste and variety.

Let’s start with a Pumpkin scone from Juanita’s Cocina
Now we need a good drink to wash these scones down.  It’s early in the day, so I offer a non-alcoholic lFruit Smoothie from Olive Oil and Lemons
Now for the main course, one of my favorite breakfast items is the breakfast sandwich.  This is a tasty and healthy dish from Edible Potential

I am kind of breaking my rule now by actually throwing in something that does not necessarily go with any thing I offer today.  But since it is jam, you can save it and use it tomorrow.  So I present Blueberry Ginger Vanilla Jam from The Tomato Tart.
Blueberry Jam with Ginger and Vanilla
To complete this breakfast offering, I still have to give us a dessert, well sort of.  Is a donut, a sweet or a breakfast item.  I think this recipe will answer the question definitively.  It is both.  A Maple Pumpkin Donut with a Spice Glaze from The Sweet Life.
