I have to admit I did not think real hard about a concept for this post. I hope that does not take away from the post? I know it doesn’t and I actually hope that you are reading this with enough advanced notice to take advantage of these great recipes and ideas.
So we begin this roundup of our Friday Five – 4th of July addition with what else a drink. It’s got to be red, white and blue of course. So let’s try these Watermelon Blueberry Coolers from Tasty Trials.
Now, we cannot drink without some appetizers to munch on. So why don’t we transition with The Beeroness and her Grilled Beer and Buttermilk Wings with Sriracha Glaze.
I think some Turkey Meatballs would be a good finger food appetizer. This recipe was created by Tung In Cheek (love the name).
Let’s begin with the main course. I am going traditional – it has to be hamburgers. But I did not say these recipes would be traditional. The first recipe is a Thai Chicken Cheeseburger with Cucumber Slaw from the Foodie Crush.
Our next burger is definitely more traditional and it is a mouthful. It is a TSRI’s Barbecue Bacon Cheddar Smokehouse Burger from The Slow Roasted Italian.
Our last burger idea is actually a trio of burgers, or more particularly, sliders. Jenny Steffens has created a Bacon Avocado Burger; a Caramelized Onion Blue Cheese Burger and an All-American Burger.
Now we need to round out the meal. So a very traditional side is a pasta salad. This side dish is a Pizza Pasta Salad by Easy Everyday Eats.
Your 4th of July would not be complete without some grilled corn. Let’s go Mexican style with this Grilled Corn with Chipotle, Lime and Cilantro from Feasting at Home.
Moving to desserts, what is more American than Pie. The first dessert I present is a beautiful Open Face Blueberry Pie by A Chemist in the Kitchen.
Our final offering for this Friday Five – 4th of July addition is a Red, white & blue Cheesecake from Just Love Cooking.
Great lineup as always Peter. Pinning those sliders.
Thx LeaAnn

You are kind Rini.
What a great collection and a perfect menu, they all look amazing.
They are great. Wasn’t quite sure which one to go with myself.
