Curry Spiced Salmon

I am very “theme-atic” or consistent with my meals.  I like to carry a spice through a meal.  I think that is what most chefs do as well.  In this case, I made a Curry Pasta (See link) and also bought some fish.  I spiced the fish very similarly to the main spice of the pasta.  In execution, that means the dry rub on the fish was curry powder.  I finished this off on the grill.  I really think grilling locks in the spices even more than when one sautees.  I do not know if this is what the experts would say but this is my experience.  What have you found?  The other insight is good food does not need a lot.  The fish was very fresh and throwing it on the grill, added just the right accent to the spice.

Curry Fish plated 500 rot

  • 2 good sized Salmon fillets (3/4 lb each)
  • 2 tbsp curry powder

Directions:

Rub the curry powder all over the fish maybe 15 minutes before grilling.  Turn your outdoor grill on to medium to medium high.  Transfer the fish to the grill and cook 5 minutes per side.  Let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.  Enjoy!
