I was contacted by Chocoley, an Atlanta based Chocolate company about trying their product. Â It’s chocolate so of course I said yes. Â I have tried a few different recipes with their chocolate but today I am posting about my Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Â I made them using both chocolate and white chocolate. Â They were awesome. Â How bad can they be – it’s chocolate and fruit. Â Now, I do have to admit, and any real baker will know that I blew the recipe. Â I didn’t make a melting chocolate. Â I used sweetened condensed milk instead of cream. Â Result is a thick chocolate. Â Nothing wrong with the taste just more of a truffle like consistency. Â Live and learn.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup each white and dark chocolate
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract, divided
- 1 pint of strawberries
Directions:
In a sauce pan, heat the sweetened condensed milk on medium heat. Â Cook until just warm and take off the stove. Â Place the chocolate chips in separate bowls and add 1/2 of the heated condensed milk to each bowl. Â Stir each bowl until the chocolate is fully incorporated. Â Add 1 tsp vanilla extract to each bowl and mix.
Take the strawberries and dip into each chocolate bowl and place on parchment paper. Â Move the covered strawberries to the fridge to let the chocolate set.
Serve and enjoy!
