One of my favorite combinations is chocolate and cranberries.  So when I was asked to try and develop a recipe with Dove Fruit Cranberries I was excited.  The only problem was that the candies needed to make it home and to the recipe.  I went with my daughter to Sam’s Club to make my purchase.  Right now Dove® Fruit has limited availability and soon they will introduce another flavor with Whole Cherries.  What am I going to do?  I might love chocolate and cherries even more.  But I digress.  As soon as my daughter and I started to make our Chocolate Layered Bark with Dove Fruit Cranberries, we opened the bag to taste them.  Thank god I bought 2 bags or I would not have had enough of the candies for our recipe.  I think these candies are really good because these Dove Fruits are made with real fruit and dipped in dark chocolate.
So do you like chocolate?  I love chocolate.  And who doesn’t love Dove® Dark Chocolate?  So what is better than chocolate on chocolate?  What is better than chocolate on chocolate, with more chocolate and even more chocolate?  Just look at this bark with the chunks of the Dove® Fruit – Whole Cranberries and also with chocolate chip cookies.
Ingredients:
- 12 Oz 0f Dove Whole Dried Cranberries
- 12 Oz dark chcoolate
- 12 Oz of White Chocolate
- 8 Oz of Heavy Cream
- 3 Chocolate Chip Cookies, diced
Directions:
Grab your favorite Chocolate Cookie recipe and follow the directions and put aside.  Meanwhile, fill a pot with water and bring to a boil.  Put a metallic bowl on top of the pot of boiling water.  Add the dark chocolate.  As it starts to melt, add 1/2 of the cream
and cook until the chocolate fully melts. Â Stir it frequently. Â Prepare a baking pan and top with parchment paper. Â Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper.
Move to the fridge and let set for a 30 – 60 minutes.  Near the end of this time, repeat the melting process this time using the white chocolate.  Take out the now solid dark chocolate layer.  With the now fully melted white chocolate, pour on top of the dark chocolate layer.  Immediately spread the Dove Cranberries and the chocolate chip bites into the white chocolate.
Return to the fridge. Â I let this set overnight.
In the morning, I removed the Chocolate Bark with Dove Fruit Cranberries from the fridge and cut into rough shapes with no aim of a particular design.  You know what I did next (after the photoshoot)?  I ate some.  It was really, really good.
Serve and enjoy!
Dove® Fruit will be releasing a new variety later this year – Dove® Fruit Whole Cherry! I’m super anxious to try that one!  I now #LoveDoveFruits thanks to #CollectiveBias

I think it’s a darn good thing for my hips that I live nowhere near a Sam’s Club, otherwise I’d be there buying this stuff by the pallet. Your bark looks so yummy! Give me chocolate or give me death, or something. #client

Summer, I know what you mean. I try to make these desserts and then share them with others so I do not eat it all.

I don’t know how you had the discipline to wait until you got home to go through one bag and then have enough to make this delicious treat from the second bag!
Peter Block
Betsy, I am not sure I am that disciplined.
