Do you think 21 ingredients is a lot? Are you intimidated?
Jump to RecipeMy 21 Ingredient Turkey Chili is so much easier to make than the overwhelming number of ingredients may lead you to believe. 10 of the ingredients are spices, 5 are the beans and tomatoes and 4 are the vegetables. The last 2 items are the ground turkey and the chicken broth.
Do you feel better now? Are you willing to give this recipe a try? I get carried away with my spices, especially my Mexican spices. I have used multiple chili powders and 2 kinds of paprika.
Chili is so versatile from meat, to vegetarian to multiple cultural options. Some examples from the blog include:
TWO BEAN VEGAN CHILI
CAJUN CHILI
ANCHO CHILI WITH FARRO
CREOLE CHILI
I think you get the idea. Chili can be fun to make. Throw in the ingredients you like. Whether you use meat or beans or both, you can call it a chili. Add the onions, carrots and celery, otherwise known as a MIREPOIX, and you have the full base of a chili.
